Work has begun at Loampit Vale which will deliver new homes, a swimming pool and a leisure centre to the centre of Lewisham.  The project had been delayed due to the economic uncertainty but will now become a reality after Mayor Steve joined Cabinet Member for Community Services Chris Best and local Councillors Damien Egan and Stella Jeffrey to mark the beginning of the project.  The Council is working with Barratt Homes to deliver the project.  

Pressing ahead with regenerating our town centres was one of Labour's pledges at the recent elections and we look forward to work moving forward at Loampit Vale and to the eventual opening of the homes and leisure centre to the public.
