With thousands of used mattresses dumped on the streets of Lewisham every year, the Labour Council's new mattress recycling scheme is good news.  All residents need to do is to put a recycling sticker (available from any Lewisham library or the Council's Access Point, Catford) on their mattress and leave it next to their refuse bin on rubbish collection day.


Mayor Steve and Councillor Susan Wise, Cabinet Member for Customer Services, launched the service.  Help to keep Lewisham's streets clear, recycle your mattresses.
